All About Me Revision

My love for my family is as permanent as the tattoo I have on my chest.

I grew up surrounded by family 24/7.

My grandparents had 11 children and in turn had 23 grandchildren.

They used to joke they had too many kids to remember all their names and would call them by numbers instead.

There were family parties every month, yearly reunions and summer vacations with everyone.

Growing up with such a huge family was a blessing.

I saw all 23 of my cousins as not only family, but as best friends.

We did everything together.

Some of us are even planning to go to Europe this summer.

After the passing of our uncle, we wanted to do something that would remind of us we would all be there for each other.

Our parents introduced themselves by their number instead of name during their eulogies to lighten the mood, but instead they inspired us.

And that is how I ended up with XI on my chest.

We counted ourselves off like them and promised whenever someone turned 18 years old they would get their tattoo.

I received mine almost two years ago.

Only 12 of us received them so far, but my younger cousins are eager for theirs.

My family will literally always be a part of me.
