About Me
My name is Sarah and I am number 11. I was born in the Bay Area, but grew up in Rocklin near Sacramento. In high school, I took part in the journalism program where I first got started as a staff writer and ended up becoming Editor-in-Chief of the online news site my senior year. One of my major accomplishments during that time was when I spoke at the National JEA/NSPA Orlando convention. I presented with my other Editor-in-Chiefs about our beat system and other ways students could boost their media programs. Everything I learned in my high school journalism program and from my adviser helped my realize what I wanted to do in college and later on in life. That's how I ended up here at San Jose State University as an advertising major.
